Raffia Imports Australia was founded around a love of education, crafts, and community engagement. Basketry and weaving is one aspect where the founders identified a real need to source sustainably farmed high quality raffia.

Utilising existing friendships through France and Madagascar we have been able to secure the highest quality Madagascan raffia. At the same time, we have enjoyed supporting community efforts to establish sustainable, eco-friendly farming practices.
